The project needed large glass areas, dark architectural frames and reliable performance for Ontario weather. Aluprof profiles used
Profile systems in the Windsor project.
MB-79N SI+ is the main thermally insulated Aluprof window and door direction used where the project needs strong aluminum frames, tilt-and-turn operation, fixed glazing and good thermal planning. The system is built around a thermal-break aluminum profile concept and is selected with the correct glass, gasket, drainage and hardware for the opening.
MB-79N US is the concealed-sash version from the MB-79N family. It is used where the exterior should look cleaner, with less visible operable sash from outside while still allowing European window operation inside the home.
MB-77HS HI 3-rail and MB-82HS HI are lift-and-slide directions for large terrace and patio openings. These systems are planned for wide glazed panels, heavier sash weights, smooth sliding operation, low-threshold possibilities and better sealing than a simple patio slider.
Glass package
56 mm triple-pane tempered glass unit.
The Windsor order was specified with TM Rozkov 56 mm triple glass panels. The package uses tempered safety glass, solar-reflective outer glass, Low-E glass on the room side and black warm spacer bars to reduce the cold edge around the sealed unit.
